Partners

CORE is fortunate to have several government partners to support its work.

The Canadian National Contact Point (or NCP) has a mandate of dialogue facilitation or mediation for all sectors for a wide range of issues.

Export Development Canada provides the CORE with a strong link to industry and can remove financial support to companies if recommended by the CORE.

Other government departments, such as NRCan, Environment Canada, and Health Canada, provide support in their fields of interest and experience.

The CORE will refer a matter to the RCMP if the CORE believes a criminal offence has been or is being committed or where the alleged human rights abuse likely constitutes:

• a war crime,
• a crime against humanity,
• genocide or
• torture
